Born in York, Ritchie studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London and subsequently settled in West Sussex. Her work explores colour, light and shade through confident brushwork, with the Sussex landscape providing a recurring source of inspiration. She has exhibited locally over many years, including a solo exhibition of landscapes at Oxmarket Contemporary in Chichester in 2023.
